Mapping is available in two places for different purposes.

Mapping in the Product Sources section

Here, Mapping allows you to change the name of the product fields to something else. This is useful if you find it hard to remember and understand the field's default name. The new names will appear in the Mapping in the Feed Center section.

For example, if you change the name of [P] Product Url to Product Link and [P] Variant Url to Variant Link, then these fields in Mapping in Feed Center will appear as [P] Product Link and [P] Variant Link.

Mapping in the Feed Center section

Here, Mapping allows you to assign a value to a product field and apply this value to all of your products.

Input a value for a field

There are three ways to input a value for a field.

Choose a variant

For example, you want your products' titles to only have the product's name and do not include the variant's name. Simply click and choose the [P] Product Title in the drop-down.

The product now has the title of itself only, and do not include the variant's name

Combine multiple variants

For example, you want your products' titles to have both the product's name and do not include the variant's name. Simply click and choose the [P] Product Title in the drop-down, then type a hyphen, then choose the [P] Variant Title in the drop-down.

The product now has the title that includes both its name and the variant's name

Type text or numbers

Here is a text example. You need to set the value of the field identifier_exists to no or false to clearly state that all your products do not have GTIN. Simply type false or no in the Assigned column.

Here is a number example. You need to add the sale_price_effective_date to your product to specify the date range that the sale price applies. Simply type the date in the Assigned column.

Save the Mapping setting

To save the Mapping, there are two buttons for different purposes.

Save Settings

Once you click it, your Mapping setting will be saved and applied for new products. This means that once you import new products to our app, this Mapping setting will be applied for these ones. Your existing products are not affected.

Therefore, after pressing Save Settings, you are not able to see the change when you click on your current feed.

Re-assign all

Once you click it, your Mapping setting will be saved and applied for existing products. This means that this Mapping setting will be applied for all existing products in your feed and all previous product's data will be overidden.

Therefore, after pressing Re-assign all, you are able to see the newly assigned value when you click on your current feed.
